Hey guys! So today I did a little shopping in Harrods and I finally got to visit the Huda Beauty stand. I was so excited because I’ve wanted to try her matte liquid lipsticks for a while but I wanted to wait until I could actually swatch them and see the shades in person. I picked up three colours; Flirt, Spice Girl and Vixen. I tried them out for the first time as soon as I got home and I thought I’d share my first impressions with you and show you some swatches so you can see what the colours look like on the lips….
Hey guys! Hope you’ve all had a good Christmas, filled with family and food! I had a lovely day with my parents and boyfriend, and they truly spoiled me, I am a very lucky girl! I put together this outfit for Christmas day, it feels very pink and princessy aha. The whole outfit is basically from Missguided, minus the bag. I hope you like it, and I’ve linked everything down below if you’d like to have a look for yourself!
Hey guys! It’s been a while (as usual haha). I know I’m so unreliable when it comes to posting but I’m super active on Instagram if you want to see my makeup looks and general makeup posts! Anyway, today I was really in the mood to write a new blog post, and I created this glittery, warm Christmas party makeup look, so I thought I’d share with you how I did it! I hope you enjoy 🙂
Hey guys 🙂 Soooo today I created this makeup look; a halo smokey eye with dark brown lips. It was really simple to do, so I thought I’d write a mini tutorial on how to achieve it / which products I used! So here’s what I did:
Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a really easy way to achieve a glittery, sparkly, crazy lip look. I literally used about 4 products in total and I thought it turned out pretty cool. So here’s how to do it:
Apply concealer all over the lips and set with a translucent face powder. This cancels out the natural colour of your lips and creates a clear, blank canvas and also ensures that the liquid lipstick you apply on top applies true to colour and comes out more vibrant.
Apply any dark, cool toned, matte liquid lipstick. I used the NYX Liquid Suede in Stone Fox which is a cool toned grey.
Carve out the lip line with concealer to ensure that they look neat and that the lines are sharp and crisp. Whenever I apply liquid lipstick it goes all over the place so this is the best trick to correct any mistakes.
Apply either a glitter primer or eyelash glue on to the lips with a flat brush and immediately apply the glitter on top with the same brush. I find that it’s easier to work in sections, applying the primer/glue to a small section of the lips followed by the glitter, as this ensures that the glue doesn’t dry before you are able to apply the glitter. I used the DUO Clear Lash Adhesiveand the NYX Glitter Brilliants in 06.
Add a rhinestone in the centre of your bottom lip for extra effect 😉 I got them from Claire’s and it looks like I have a piercing! (you don’t have to do this)
And that’s it! I don’t know if I made any sense at all, I felt like I was just rambling, but hopefully you learned something?!
Sorry I haven’t posted in so long, I’m rubbish I know 😦
Anyway, I’m back with another what’s on my face today. Basically I’ve decided to do the 100 Days of makeup challenge on Instagram, which is where you post a different makeup look every day for 100 consecutive days. I feel like it’s really going to challenge me, help my makeup skills improve and enable me to be really creative. So I’m currently on day 4 (follow my Instagram to see the makeup looks I come up with each day) and I decided to create this dramatic, dark, chocolate smokey eye. So if you want to find out how I did it (although I’m not very good at explaining) and to see which products I used, then just keep reading 😉
Hey guys! So today I popped into Kiko (just for a quick look), and I came out with 7 new eyeshadows (as usual). Their displays are too tempting; there are so many many products, so many beautiful colours, so many formulas, and everything is so affordable, so how could I not pick something up?
I’ve never really tried Kiko eyeshadows before, so I thought I would give them a go as they are only £5.90. AND GUESS WHAT? Online they are doing a special offer at the moment, and each Inifinity eyshadow is £2.80, can you believe it??? Anyway, I picked up six Infinity Eyeshadows and one Water / Long-Lasting Wet & Dry Eyeshadow. As they were so affordable, I didn’t really know what to expect, and whether they would be good quality or not, so obviously when I got home I had to test them out. So here’s what I thought; my first impressions/review + swatches + colour descriptions.
Hey guys! So today I was super excited because I received my order from Dose of Colors of the Eyedeal Duo in Maple and the Matte Liquid Lipstick in Chocolate Wasted. I’d never tried Dose of Colors products before but I’d heard so many good things about them that I had to pick some up. So naturally, when I received my order I knew I had to create a look using my two new products! So here’s what I came up with…
So you’ve probably seen the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits ALL OVER Instagram, YouTube and the beauty blogging community. The launch of the two kits, That Glow and Gleam, created such excitement in the makeup world, following the release of Anastasia’s amazing illuminators, which left everyone wanting more. And the thought of getting four highlighters in one kit… isn’t that just heaven?? Anastasia is the queen of brows, and is now also the queen of highlighters. So after all the hype, and after falling in love with the ABH So Hollywood Illuminator, I was sososo excited to get my hands on my very own glow kit. So… are they worth the hype?
Hey guys! So today I was feeling inspired to do something a little more colourful and creative, and I was looking at my pigments and I came across MAC Blue Brown pigment. It is so beautiful and I never get any use out of it so I thought I’d create a look using it, as it’s something different 🙂 I hope you like it!
So here’s what I used and how I did it… My base/face/foundation routine hasn’t really changed, I’m loving these same products lately and I keep using them every time I do my makeup (I promise I’ll try to use different products next time).
