Hey guys! So today I did a little shopping in Harrods and I finally got to visit the Huda Beauty stand. I was so excited because I’ve wanted to try her matte liquid lipsticks for a while but I wanted to wait until I could actually swatch them and see the shades in person. I picked up three colours; Flirt, Spice Girl and Vixen. I tried them out for the first time as soon as I got home and I thought I’d share my first impressions with you and show you some swatches so you can see what the colours look like on the lips….
Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a really easy way to achieve a glittery, sparkly, crazy lip look. I literally used about 4 products in total and I thought it turned out pretty cool. So here’s how to do it:
Apply concealer all over the lips and set with a translucent face powder. This cancels out the natural colour of your lips and creates a clear, blank canvas and also ensures that the liquid lipstick you apply on top applies true to colour and comes out more vibrant.
Apply any dark, cool toned, matte liquid lipstick. I used the NYX Liquid Suede in Stone Fox which is a cool toned grey.
Carve out the lip line with concealer to ensure that they look neat and that the lines are sharp and crisp. Whenever I apply liquid lipstick it goes all over the place so this is the best trick to correct any mistakes.
Apply either a glitter primer or eyelash glue on to the lips with a flat brush and immediately apply the glitter on top with the same brush. I find that it’s easier to work in sections, applying the primer/glue to a small section of the lips followed by the glitter, as this ensures that the glue doesn’t dry before you are able to apply the glitter. I used the DUO Clear Lash Adhesiveand the NYX Glitter Brilliants in 06.
Add a rhinestone in the centre of your bottom lip for extra effect 😉 I got them from Claire’s and it looks like I have a piercing! (you don’t have to do this)
And that’s it! I don’t know if I made any sense at all, I felt like I was just rambling, but hopefully you learned something?!
Hey guys! So today I was super excited because I received my order from Dose of Colors of the Eyedeal Duo in Maple and the Matte Liquid Lipstick in Chocolate Wasted. I’d never tried Dose of Colors products before but I’d heard so many good things about them that I had to pick some up. So naturally, when I received my order I knew I had to create a look using my two new products! So here’s what I came up with…
Hey guys! So today I was feeling inspired to do something a little more colourful and creative, and I was looking at my pigments and I came across MAC Blue Brown pigment. It is so beautiful and I never get any use out of it so I thought I’d create a look using it, as it’s something different 🙂 I hope you like it!
So here’s what I used and how I did it… My base/face/foundation routine hasn’t really changed, I’m loving these same products lately and I keep using them every time I do my makeup (I promise I’ll try to use different products next time).
Hey guys! Let me introduce to you… Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Glastonberry. OMG just look at this beauty of a lipstick. You’ve probably all heard about it already, and there’s a reason for that, it’s perfection. So let me tell you more about it…
Hey guys! So today I’m gonna tell you about my favourite everyday lipsticks. Lipsticks are my favourite makeup item ever to collect and to wear, and I am ashamed to admit that I have way too many. I’m joking, I’m not ashamed, but I do need to control my hoarding characteristics, I’m running out of space to store all of them! I might have to invest in yet another lipstick holder. I usually go for a darker nude/pink for an everyday look. I wear lipstick every single day, no matter what, so I always like to have a lot of options to choose from. But these are the ones I wear on a regular basis and that I always seem to reach for. So let’s get started…
Autumn is finally here! The best season of the year, and the time for rocking dark lips once again. I’ve chosen 6 lip options from my collection which I love to wear in the autumn and I hope you find some inspiration from my choices!
1.. Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 01 (£5.49, here) This is a true red, creamy matte lipstick. The formula of the Rimmel Kate Lipsticks is amazing, especially for the price. They are really affordable and last all day. The only con I would say about this is that it is slightly drying.
2. Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in 975 Divine Wine (£6.99, here) This is probably my favourite of the bunch. It is a deep, dark, red wine colour (as the name suggests). It goes on soo smoothly and evenly, yet still looks matte, the colour is opaque after just one swipe (so pigmented), it’s not at all drying and basically.. I love it. I definitely want to try out more of the Maybelline Creamy Mattes range.
I’ve never tried NYX products before because in the UK they are only available online (and in Next stores apparently but I’ve never seen them) but I’ve heard so much about them and their products are so affordable so I decided to go ahead and buy some of their round lipsticks to try out. The swatches on the website weren’t very good so I did some research and watched some youtube swatch videos to try and choose some colours and I ended up with (from left to right) Strawberry Milk, Indian Pink, Spellbound, Haute Melon and Pure Nude.
